IFS food standard

IFS food standard is an internationally recognised benchmark in the food industry that sets standards in food production and processing. It is issued by Bureau Veritas.

Mlekarna Krepko thus meets the highest international standards of safe and quality processing of dairy products.
The requirements for the production of safe food, which are set by increasingly aware consumers, are the most important task and responsibility of food producers. Evidence of a responsible approach has become one of the most important purchasing criteria. The IFS standard means meeting strict requirements and high standards regarding food quality and safety, as well as environmental and social responsibility. Services cover the entire food chain from animal feed to finished food products on store shelves, including their packaging, transport and storage.

The IFS standard combines the requirements of the HACCP system according to the Codex Alimentarius, as well as the rules of good manufacturing, business and hygiene practice, traceability and food labelling. For the consumer, this means that Mlekarna Krepko’s products are manufactured according to the high international IFS standards, which ensures a safe and flawless product.

Selected quality – Slovenia

The “selected quality – Slovenia” sign guarantees that you have bought food that has been produced and processed in Slovenia, is of a higher quality and has been additionally controlled.

The “selected quality – Slovenia” label therefore ensures Slovenian production and processing, product quality due to short transport routes and limited transport time, high quality feed and compliance with special requirements in animal health and processing procedures and regular control in production and processing plants, carried out by independent certification bodies.

National trademark “organic”

The national trademark “organic” ensures compliance of production, processing, packaging, storage and transport of organic products, food and feed with the applicable regulations for organic farming. The right to use this trademark is acquired on the basis of a valid certificate from a certification body authorised by the state. The application for the use of the trademark must be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment.

National trademark “organic”

Official label of the European Union for organic food

The official label of the European Union for organic food may be used by anyone who meets the conditions for organic production and processing laid down in Council Regulation (EC) 834/2007 and Commission Regulation (EC) 889/2008 and has obtained a certificate from the relevant authorised certification body. It gives consumers a guarantee of the origin and quality of food. From July 2010, this label has been mandatory for all prepacked organic food products within the European Union, and the voluntary use of the label for non-prepacked organic food produced within the EU or for all organic products imported from third countries is also allowed.
